I watched the SNL skit first before watching Palin’s interview, and was so shocked to see that SNL was really quoting her from that interview. If Amy Poehler had more resemblance to Katie Couric, you could easily switch SNL’s parody with the real thing.

Kind of soothing, if you think about it. I mean, we in the Third World do not have the monopoly of having leaders that are not exactly known for their intelligence and sharp wit. And as for having good communication skills…sheesh. Fugeddaboutit. Just listen to Bush, for God’s sake.
Maybe that’s what one gets from constantly watching Colbert and Jon Stewart. You get the impression that American politicians are buffoons and dimwits. Not just their politicians, but some members of their press as well.
See, being rich does not protect a country from stupidity. Far from it.
What does, I wonder.

Falling stockbrokers? That time of the century again? Honestly though, I never imagined it would happen again.

Were we hit by the Crash in the 30′s, during the American colonization? I don’t remember reading about it – the only things I read were labor issues, city planning, liberals vs. Catholics, and the Commonwealth issue.

What the heck is Palin saying? She doesn’t even understand what she’s saying! I was expecting her to cash in with her support for the middle-class concerns (more predictable of her, being the small-town hockey mom), but she wants to look as if she understands the issue and be McCain’s, uh, stage mom, and she fails miserably!!! After her interview I can see Katie Couric banging her head on a desk.
