Notice that almost all of these "good stuff" are non-meat. There really is a strong evidence that directly links cancer (all kinds of them) to our appetite for meat, including poultry and dairy. I have long ago dreamed of being a pure vegetarian, but you're right, it's impossible here in our country, period. I'm reading a book about an American woman who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and was given roughly 2 years to live. Being the symptom-and pain-free type of a cancer, it was too late when she consulted her doctor. It has metastasized and was already eating into her lungs, liver,spine-- Doctors pretty much gave up on her. Ravaged by toxic drug injections and chemo, she decided to turn vegetarian on her "last days". Well, she lived on nothing but the green stuff, fruit/veggie juices, vitamin supplements, fasting and enema. I'm rather uneasy about the enema, but she directly credits her miraculous recovery to the fruits and veggies. Now cancer-free, she believes there's no other explanation for her recovery. Right now, right after the festivities, I'm struggling to keep away from the sinful leftover local-brand ham with the luscious syrupy honey sauce... Happy New Year.
