Totally agree with jessica. Globe tattoo broadband is a worthless piece of crap! At times when I can actually connect and get a decent speed, it lasts oh.. about 3 to 4 minutes at most. Just this morning, i tried here at Binondo and as usual, it showed ZERO 0.00 kbps download and upload speeds. What crap talaga!

I gave up on Globe Tattoo... Sun Broadband seemes better. The sales rep told me that they have separate cell sites (?) or signals for 3G and 2G, so the 2G phones dont compete for bandwidth... I'm still testing it though.

Im using Sun Broadband, it has a good connection around Makati Area. No very sure if it would be the same at some other parts of the Metro.

Suggestion: Call Tech Support and ask to escalate the call to a supervisor. Don't accept the excuse that there are no supes available (taking other calls, in a meeting, etc.) Average ratio of supes to agents is 1:15. Then don't get off the line until you get a resolution or a definitive answer. Keeping them on the line as long as possible will destroy their metrics for the day and the call center people's performance/bonuses are all based on those metrics (Average Handle Time, Call Resolution Rate, etc.). Always ask for specifics (ex. "Our tech team will get back to you" as opposed to "Our tech team manager, Mr. X will call you back by tomorrow 9AM.) Ask for the Agent ID (Unique identifier), case number and/or report number (so you have something to refer to if you get disconnected).

The call center people will try to be as vague and non-committing(?) as possible and they will always try to get you off the phone as fast as they can.

You will probably be on that call for 2-4 hours so be somewhere comfortable and make sure your phone is fully charged...

If that still doesn't get you anywhere, I heard that Sun has better service because they're trying to increase their market share...think second placers try harder.

Thanks for being our voice! We feel the same way! You are not alone Ms. Zafra. Marami tayong dissastisfied sa services ng globe tattoo at smartbro prepaid. MARAMI TAYO!!!!!!!!!! I hope that this would spark a movement that would lead to positive change that would benefit us, the consumers. I hope that this would reach the attention of the big telcos to improve their services, kahit prepaid, kahit mga masa na gumagamit ng prepaid ay may karapatan sa magandang serbisyo! I'm so fired up about this topic kse ang dami ko ng naubos na load na kinakain ng mga lecheng prepaid kits na yan. Pag nadisconnect ka kahit wala pang 1 min may charge na kagad. I AM SO FRUSTRATED AND INFURIATED BECAUSE I FEEL SO POWERLESS. WALA AKO MAGAWA KUNDI TO AVAIL OF THEIR SERVICE KSE NGA WALA AKONG IBANG ALTERNATIVE. KUNG HINDI NILA KAYANG PAGANDAHIN SERVICES NILA SANA LANG... SANA LANG.....MAGKAROON NG IBANG BETTER ALTERNATIVE.

Jessica, you're a celeb and I believe Globe will settle your problem soon. We mere mortals will remain insignificant to merit Globe's attention.

Smart Bro's the same. I used to have a Smart Bro postpaid until my sister borrowed it. In the meantime I bought a Smart Bro Prepaid. I bought it from one of their accredited sellers. THEN it turned out that the unit was faulty. I didn't even blow my top off when I realized I blew more than a thousand smackers on a faulty unit. But then I had to go through a lot of $h!t from their Wireless Center before they replaced it. That's when I lost it.

(At heto pa, they don't even know their own product, the girl who assisted me kept insisting that the reason my spankin' brand new unit wasn't working was because it didn't have a sim card! The dumb chick thought the MicroSD slot was where the sim card should be. I'm glad I read the manual so I had the pleasure of humiliating her by calmly removing the sim card from the unit just to prove her wrong).

I never really had problems with the speed of the postpaid, but the prepaid's speed was CRAP. It was CRAP CRAP CRAP. The CSR said it might be due to my location, but I live in Makati also. Duh, Makati. Mawawalan ng signal?

Another hassle is, I have to load the unit with Smart Bro Prepaid internet credit. They assured me that this supposed internet credit is available in most convenience stores.

It's not.

When I managed to find a seller of smart bro prepaid internet load, I found out I could only load the unit with a smart number! I used Globe, so I had to buy a Smart Sim pa!

Bottomline is, I stopped using the Smart Bro Prepaid. It's way easier to find free wifi than depend on Smart Bro, which is (like Globe Prepaid Tattoo), A WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP.

Ang Sun Cellular kaya ok?

I bought the equivalent of globe tattoo with smart bro back when it was 3995 pesos. I had the same experience and I used 300 pesos worth of load and then threw it away in frustration not bothering to recoup 4300 pesos so when i bought an HP laptop and they gave a free tattoo I gave it away immediately and the person I gave it to cursed me after experiencing the same problem.
